BEVERLY HEIGHTS announces SWAG on BEVERLY Block Party charity event
set for Thursday, September 4, 2008


(Los Angeles, CA, August 2008) BEVERLY HEIGHTS, the premier shopping district between La Cienega and Crescent Heights on Beverly Boulevard, has announced plans to debut a neighborhood shopping event appropriately titled the SWAG on BEVERLY Block Party set for Thursday, September 4, 2008. Beverly Heights is not only a regional shopping destination but a coalition between local independent businesses to come together as an alliance to drive commerce to the area. SWAG, which stands for Shopping, Walking and Giving is a charity event honoring the local Saban Clinic. The event is designed to bring awareness to the district which is home to some of the most prestigious fashion, beauty, furniture design, and restaurants in Los Angeles.

The SWAG on BEVERLY Block Party will be honoring the highly regarded Saban Clinic, formerly known as the L.A. Free Clinic, which offers comprehensive health care, dental care, mental health and education at no cost. Beverly Heights will be giving a charitable 10% donation of profits generated during the night of the event to the clinic. The community event will offer a taste of what the dynamic shopping district has to offer with individual businesses opening their doors to host complimentary cocktails provided by UV Vodka, hor’dourves provided by Pane e Vino, JIAN BBQ, Mandarette Chinese Café, and IN SEOUL and shopping incentives from participating retailers. The debut of the Beverly Heights SWAG on BEVERLY card will also be introduced and distributed to attendees during the event. Recipients of the card will have the opportunity to receive discounts and incentives from participating local retailers to be redeemed that night and during future shopping visits. An interactive shopping game will also be played during the event where three guests will win amazing gifts offered by the premier shopping region.
